MBA from OXford Brookes is another good option than MBA from LUMS. - scorpian - 03-15-2010 THANKS FOR REPLY ME BUT CAN YOU TELL ME THE NAME OF TOP 10 UNIVERSITIES ? ALSO I ASKED ABOUT THE EMBA FROM LUMS SO PLZ TELL ME ABOU THE LUMS EMBA REPY ME SOON THANKS - shani420 - 03-16-2010 Scorpian, Following is the eligibility criteria for EMBA (LUMS). 1)minimum 16 years education recognized by HEC(4 year bachelors or 2 year bach plus 2 year master in any discipline). 2)minimum of 8 years full time work experience(out of this 5 years experience must be at managerial level) 3)letters of recommendation Besides that candidate is required to pass GMAT or LMAT test with good score and a satisfactory performance in interview. Fee- for Pakistani national fee for first year without accommodation is Rs 515000(including admission fee, reading material and security(Rs 10000)) and with accommodation it is Rs 638000 per year. The Bsc degree from Oxford Brokes is considered 16 years education if done after A Levels and fulfil eligibility criteria. But if done after Fsc,Icom,FA etc then it is considered 15 years education by HEC ,hence not accepted. If someone has 8 years experience but lacks 5 years managerial experience, he is eligible to apply but would be required to prove his suitability to admission committee. It is usually completed in 25 months. No financial assistance available for EMBA(for regular MBA it is available. No age limit to apply. Regards. - [email protected] - 03-17-2010 @Scorpian List can be found when write in Google FT MBA Global rankings 2010 right. @Shani I have attained OBU's degree after B.Com. which is considered equal to A-Level by UK-Naric and ACCA also consider them equal but i am unsure about HEC. Will my education be considered as equal to 16 years or not? - shani420 - 03-17-2010
quote
@Scorpian List can be found when write in Google FT MBA Global rankings 2010 right. @Shani I have attained OBU's degree after B.Com. which is considered equal to A-Level by UK-Naric and ACCA also consider them equal but i am unsure about HEC. HEC say that Bcom(14 years) and Bsc(OBU)(15 years) both r Bachelors degreers. They consider it as parallel education. If someone completes 2 years Bcom and 2 years BA then his education remains as 14(not as 16 years) years because being parallel. And as far as Uk naric is ,they don't consider Pakistani Bachelors as equivalent to A LEVEL.Uk Naric has authority to assess qualification only upto grade 12(Bachelor degrees from outside Uk r compared with Their Bachelors, although a 2 years fail to get equivalence to their 3 years).Pakistani Fsc is not considered equal to A LEVELS.For this reason any superior qualification(such as bachelors) is required by ACCA. - [email protected] - 03-18-2010 @Shani I can confirm that B.Com.(14 Years) is considered equal to A-Level(13 Years) in UK and I.Com(12 years) is considered equal to their GCSE. - shani420 - 03-18-2010
quote
@Shani What that bull **** is? They don't know how to assess degrees?

main nay bhi Bcom kya hai Punjab uni say aur Bsc (OBU) ka soch raha ho.Is lye I HEC and they answered that it would be considered as 15 years degree. - shani420 - 03-18-2010
quote
@Shani I can confirm that B.Com.(14 Years) is considered equal to A-Level(13 Years) in UK and I.Com(12 years) is considered equal to their GCSE.

I earlier mailed Uk Naric to check about UCAS credit for Fsc and Bcom. They said that Bcom is a university bachelor degree which they cannot assess.I don't know the real scenerio in UK. But my younger brother is currently studying in Swinburne uni of tech Australia in their 3 Years Bcom.He had earlier done 2 year Bcom from Punjab uni.He got his full first year(2 semesters) waived off in Australia due to his Pakistani Bcom and got partial exemptions in 3rd semester. - Dard - 03-18-2010 A levels in the Uk is a 13-years education. Oxford brookes uni's Bsc 3years degree. Hence, the total is 16years of education - shani420 - 03-18-2010 U r right Dard. |
