Question: Why isn't Depreciation Charged on Land? - salman khan - 01-11-2011

Assalaam 0 Alaikum,
my name is Agha Salman Khan and im student of bba(hons)..
i want to ask a question about depreciation..
Question is "Why we are not charging depreciation on land" ??

- Salmancert - 01-11-2011

Depreciation is charged on Items whose value and itself diminishes over time. whereas a land is lost over time. It is there as it was for a 100 years. and its value also remains same if not increases over time.

hope this solved your concern
