I'm going to give 6 papers - seek advise. - cowsgonemadd - 03-13-2011

Hey guys,

I just sat module C exams and while OBBC went very well, tax and accounts went very badly. Don't ask why, let's just say my preparation was very bad, I partied all session, thinking I would be able to get it done at the end but oh boy! was I ever wrong. Anyway....

So I'm planning to give 6 papers and hopefully clear them too so as to retain my "1st attempt pass" status. I started preparing for next attempt tax paper from today lol! 2 hours after I got back from the tax paper P What do you think guys? I learned some valuable lessons on how to plan studies and hopefully I will stick to my plan. I've heard that a lot of people give 5 papers in module D, so I figured if I can prepare a significant portion of 1 paper (lets say tax) by the result time, would I be able to do it?

I don't want to hurt my chances of getting into the big 4 - Yes I know they take even those people who have passed in 3 attempts as well, but since every little bit counts, I wish to keep this advantage. Also, in my opinion there is no point to putting in so much effort and then not getting to work in a Big/public/multinational company.

I welcome opinions/suggestions.

Well I know a person who gave 7 papers in one attempt (3 of C and 4 of D) and cleared all of them in one go, so nothing is impossible. Just do not make the same mistake twice, and remember to persist with hard work throughout the session. Right now you are motivated but that can wane easily.

FA2 and TAX requires not much hard work.so,you can cover substantial portion of tax and FA2 by the result time. As,you are going to cope 6 subjects.so, i would suggest to prepare tax from PETIWALA NOTES for MOD C and for FA2 only pac past papers.

just plan,be consistent and rely on endeavour to go thru exams.
