IoD Diploma in Company Direction
Institute of Directors/CIMA Diploma in Company Direction
Due to the success of the first cohort of the Institute of Directors/CIMA Diploma in Company Direction, CIMA is pleased to announce details of the second cohort, which will commence in July 2005.
The corporate governance debate has meant that companies need to ensure directors â both executive and non-executive - understand and comply with the law. It is vital they are up-to-date with best practice and current business thinking. Those who are â or aspire to become â directors of organisations, are increasingly required to demonstrate that they have benchmarked their knowledge, understanding and expertise against leading edge practice.
Against this background, the Institute of Directors and CIMA have joined forces and created the CIMA Diploma in Company Direction. This qualification is specifically tailored for CIMA members at board or senior management level.
The programme reflects the issues and concerns facing CIMA members today. It covers aspects of corporate governance, directorsâ responsibilities, and strategy on how to improve business performance. It also provides delegates with an excellent opportunity to meet, network with and learn from their peers in other organisations. Successful completion of the Diploma can lead on to the IoDâs professional qualification, Chartered Director, which demonstrates the ultimate in director professionalism.
To find out more about this qualification, take a look at the IoD/CIMA Diploma in Company Direction brochure, and at the latest dates for the second cohort commencing in July 2005.
