I'm an American actuary in London and I'm exploring Pakistan to open a branch office of the global consultancy I work for to serve the Subcontinent.
From what I've read in this thread, Pakistani actuaries are paid approximately half of what Indian actuaries are for an entry level position. There are few actuaries, but there is an actuarial science program in Karachi University. Does anyone see a problem with opening an office here (language or transport or politics) and serve Indian clients? Can anyone describe the current environment for actuarial consultancies in Pakistan?
