salaam all,
hey Nabeel, zenith college is probably the best for CIMA qualification in pakistan ... as far as ur queries matter, well, graduation is never a pre-requisite for CIMA if u r A-levels. yes u can join it directly. n dont worry, u will not have ne problem in understanding cima, it is designed so tht it hlps ppl comming from ne background ... u will b quite comfortable, but, according 2 me, a graduation will definetly give u some edges
1) unless u complete ur cima, u r unable 2 get a job ( u will not b able 2 earn nething ... plus, cima imposses a requirement of 3-yrs-job for getting u full ACMA membership ... since cima iz never a hot cake, u can never b sure tht u will complete all tht pprs in a one go... u might have 2 repeat a couple of pprs or so ... so it can extend in terms of time ... n after u complete pprs, u still need another 3 years to become an ACMA ... so u will not b able to do the jobs tht address ACMAs (
2) if u have a professional graduation degree in ur hands, preferably BBA/B.Comm(Honors)/BA(economics) or other business related degree (preferably on accountinf/finance side), thn u can get some usefull exemptions in cima!!! it will accelerate ur progress in becomming ACMA!!!
3) the same condition (2) further helps u tht u can start a job after graduation, n continue ur cima along with the job ... n this is the strategy tht 99% ppl do ... it gives u an advantage tht u dont have ne pressure of cima upon u, u can do it at ur own pace, without tension, n all of ur job, tht u will b doing in the mean while; shall b counted in the 3-yrs-experience requirement of CIMA n u shall get ur membership very soon after u pass ur pprs!!! so u will not need additional 3 yrs for getting ACMA.
4) being a graduate always iz a plus in ur career ... coz in this fast-paced-era, competition iz very hard n it will hlp u in getting promotions as well ... n in case u need an MBA degree in future, u shall b elegible for joining it as well on the basis of ur graduation (n not on the basis of cima!!!) ... almost all the management accounting qualifications always encourage its members for mba,eg, cima has collaborations with Henley Business School of UK. n specially in pakistan, degrees have always had great importance in getting promotions into higher management. so u will b never on a loosing end by ne means if u do a graduation.
