HOW DETERMINE BASIC SALARY?

salary consist of basic salary and allowances my question is this how companies determine an individual's basic salary and other allowances is there any law or they offer as their wish?

yes its on company's discretion but tax deduction on that salary is determined as per income tax ordinance and for that purposes income tax ordinance describes how allowance and respective deductions are to be determined, but yes do check the minimum wages acts like labour laws etc as applicable
