Salam
I have just started ICMAP(F1) and would someone tell me about Books for it.
Which one of following should i select

1) Use Professional Business Publishers(PBP) text books (www.pbp.com.pk)
2) Use Petiwala published books for FI
3)Other(which you think)

i feel easy with pakistani books rather than foreign BUT do you think i should use foreign books or start getting use to it?

Foreign books are much better then Pakistani ones
They are easy and simple to read and understand
(Except english literature)
These books are work of thousands of ppl not just an author. They try there best to make a book easy and simple.

If u feel any difficulty then open the book and read about the author (Who is he - Where he lives - his family etc) then open book from any page and read it for 5 mins, after this there are 90% chances that you will understand what he is saying.

You should try ACCOUNTING by MEIGS WILLIAMS HAKA BETTNER (Mc Graw Hill). This book can be earned from ICMAP library without any cost. For economics, SAMUELSON's book is best.

Never try an Indo/Pak author if u have and amarican book with same topic. Some ppl think indian books are best but I tried once and felt that they are copies of US books (they also miss some data).

Thanks mhmirza
It is my experience
I read all about authors, remember about those I like and wait for their next editions. Same is the case with organizations that publish books. Knowing about the author (his qualification, experience, living style etc) and companies that issue books is very helpfull. It creates an unknown relationship between reader and writer. It makes a person understand his beloved eriter/press and sometimes helps him to choose right book.

Steven Holzer is my favorite writer.
I like Coriolis inc., and Wrox press.
Pakistani JBD is also good one.

Mr.Krss I am also agree with the Suggestions of Mr.Shahid_fss and sam
You should follow the Suggestions of them and concentrate on concepts and understanding by any means/source instead of books and ICAMP libraries have a good stock of books you can use them as well.
and Mr.Ehrar I am also student of ICMAP, may you please give or forward a Suggestion to ICMAP Marketing department that they are doing so much struggle for ICMAP Marketing for the admission of New Students in ICMAP but why don't they try to make it possible for Old Students to again continue their studies of ICMA which they Left because of any reason, and is there any possibility for KBC & other BCs to Solve the problems of those students who drop/discontiue their studies of ICMA after completing One or two or more Parts of ICMAP, KBC and other BCs can contact them and motivate them to join ICMAP again can try to make it possible to help them to continue their studies becasue most of them are Lack of information.
Thanks
