Everyone wants to be a successful businessman, to become a successful businessman you need to have a successful/good business. You can only have successful business when you have good and fair business environment. You can have good and fair business environment when you have law and regulation in the society plus other resources i.e. good roads to deliver the goods and services, communication (tele and post) to have communicates with clients/customers and supplier, safety of business. You can have these entire things when you have one separate organisation (government) who will be responsible to provide above things. To run the above organisation (government) you need to pay them money. You can pay money in form of TAX

taxation A system used by governments to obtain money from people and organizations.

Of course from an economic perspective taxation means mothing other than a way for governments to control the flow of cash in a marketplace.

A higher burden of taxation increases government wealth to the populas. This increased wealth can be spent or stored greatly affecting prices in the marketplace for the purpose of the government in power.

Without taxation, the need for a government would cease and a truer market led economy would emerge.
