Sheesh !! I guess no one on this forum has even the basic knowledge about A-levels.
Dear Kool Ali, I am a A-level student studying at the Karachi Grammer School. Our college is supposedly the best one for A-levelz in Karachi. Other good colleges include St. Patrick & Lycium. Then you have a whole LINE of colleges after that. In Lahore, I guess "Lahore Grammer School" is the best but it is for girls only. Atchisen is the best one for boys. Though, Beacon house & all other commercial schools fare well too. However, I dont think any of these good colleges take people for A-levels who have not done O-levels. Why do you need to do A-levels anyway? A-levels is not a "DEGREE" it has no worth on its own. Its just a High-school diploma much like ur intermediate. No one will ask u whether u did A-levels or intermediate in the accountancy field. And You will waste a hell lot of time doing A-levels. If you ultimately want to do ACCA, then DO CAT immediately after ur intermediate. Dont waste time on nething else. CAT on its own, is nothing. But its the first step to getting your "ACCA". I would also highly recommend you to do CA (Pak) after your ACCA. Take Care, AvgJoe

Avg Joe A levels does help considerably atleast to me its been great help, you get more command over understanding of any subject and most importantly your English improves I have never had to study English in module A of CA because of my O and A level background. Anyways as far as the orignal question is concerned I wouldnt do CAT because it limits your options after CAT the only thing you can do after that is ACCA or a couple of other accounting qualifications, best you do proper High School and keep your options open.
