ICAP have recently introduce a new subject Information Technology in module F. The course outline of this subject is adopted from CISA.
CISA is a specialized certification in information system therefore the syllabus should be redesigned to enhance its practical applicability by the accountants.

There is a secret 'Chappa-khanna' in the basement of ICAP where they copy all the syllabi and study material of foreign qualifications!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Lack of crativity, originality and a resistance to learn anything new by themselves is the main problem with the people sitting in that white building on Chartered Accountants avenue!

Well, if it is true what you are saying, then it is highly unfortunate.
I think, after the introduction of Foundation stream, ICAP has at its disposal a very good bunch of qualified accountants who are very much into "IT" and can help with whatever contribution is required from them.
As a member I know that we have not been taken into confidence regarding the syllabus changes except perhaps at some committee level.
