Well, I am a CIA and I can confirm that CIA's scope in Middle East, just like that of CPA, is superb and its mostly because of its American origin, otherwise compared to the difficulty level of CA/ACCA, I found it unbelievably easy. It’s my opinion, you may disagree. If you have experience and CIA cert. then you can expect salary level almost equivalent to ACAs/ACCAs. And career growth-wise CIAs, as internal auditors, are uniquely poised to go up the ladder to directorship of listed companies here. In E & Y here CIAs in consulting are earning more than ACAs (PAK). As far as Pak job market is concerned I was waiting for someone else from Pakistan to reply because I am not in Pak hence unable to tell you what’s the worth/scope of CIA there.
