Well fellows, i emailed ICAP, that they should start an email service like hotmail for there students and members and a chat forum where we can share the knowledge.
Is there any site where ICAP members and students get together?

If not, then there SHOULD BE ONE. Right Seniors?

Best regards.

Well you already have this forum where all accountancy students unite... If I'm not mistaken, this is the only pakistani accountancy forum.

Hi every one!
i think thats really a gr8 idea.ICAP should provide a platform for the intercation of its students.
U know i found this website a week ago and i found it so interesting and useful ,that i was totally lost in it, i spent more than three hours surfing all the forums and i found answers to so many questions, that always kept mushrooming in my mind, but i knew no one who could satisfy me.
So i would say Icap should really think over the idea, coz it would realy help out students.
But the point is if its going to help students, ICAP would never implement it , since ICAP just dont want to improve pass rate.
WEhat do u think??????

I think that its not right to put the responsibility of everything on government's shoulders. Private sector should take the lead and start things on its own. In our case, government is ICAP and the private sector is this website. I think that these Accountancy ppl have done a commendable job of starting this website and these forums where such intersting discussions take place.

And besides, do u ppl really think that ICAP would've allowed such freedom of speech which we find here even if they had started such a forum? I am sure that one never would've been able to say anything critical of ICAP or its buddhas.

Nadia, if u think that you have not been able to find topics whose answers you were looking for then you should ask the questions yourself by starting new topics. Remember that its freedom of speech which rules over here, so you can ask about literally anything. Maybe then we will be able to satisfy your curiosity.

I just wanted to add my message of support to the creators of this website. I like it and the forums generally.

The accountancy bodies would not be able to take too much criticism, so this website/forum is ideal for some independent thinking and expression of views.

Agreed to all of you!

But there is a way out. We can creat a room on yahoo chat, and then we can chat ther as well. I, my self check this site regularly and feels very at ease, as i share every thought with nice people like you.

So what do you say about creating a chat room on yahoo and join that for discussion. I think S M R and Guybrush can do something in it!
Suggestions are welcome.

We can share email addresses and come on msn as well.

So i wish to know how many of you vote for the chat room and for sharing email and coming on msn!

Waiting.

agreed with webmoxter, this site is 'sufficient and appropriate' enough.
ICAP can provide the services you people want with the text 'views expressed are not necessarily that of the Institute', but it would need to keep such chat places highly moderated (u know what I mean) or else it could bring a bad name to the Institute's name (I know many of you would be questioning how much is left of it) - does ACCA have such services , it is an highly liberal professional body???
