Minimum wages are applicable to individuals having 'Employee' status.
The law pertaining to minimum wages is not applicable to Trainees / Internees / Individuals undergoing Apprenticeship.
Even the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan after its 189th meeting of the Council held recently has set the revised stipend rates (as applicable from today July 1, 2007) for Graduate / Post Graduate Trainee Students at Rs. 3,000 per month. On passing Module A & B, the stipend increases to Rs. 3,500 per month and so on and so forth.
AAB's stipend rates for ICAP registered students is as per ICAP's regulations, as mentioned on our website www.aabaig.com (career section) while starting stipend rates for ICMAP, ACCA and PIPFA registered students in Rs. 2,000 per month plus conveyance.
