Well Mr. Siddiqui,

Although, I am not from accounting background, but still I believe that the ACCA is just a professional qualification and certainly not a degree, which is generally awarded by a higher education institution or a university. Having said this, I think now the Oxford Brookes University offers a bachelors degree if you clear some ACCA modules, but as I said, I am not from the accounting industry, therefore, I would be obliged if some body could comment on my insight.

There was this ACCA seminar on BSc. in Applied Accounting (Oxford Brookes) yesterday held at Avari Towers, Karachi... Mr. Paul was representing the Oxford Brookes University... The seminar was open for all ACCA/CAT students...

He stated that over 125 ACCA Pakistani students have been able to get the BSc. degree and the overall passing percentage is 70%...

On average, it takes 3 - 3.5 years to complete ACCA (if you are not entitled to any exemptions)... However, this is only my own estimate keeping in mind what I have observed and not a statement of fact...

An ACCA student is eligible to apply and start working on the BSc. degree after he/she has completed the first and second part of ACCA.
