@All
ICAP members are not required to undergo any further training when claiming MRA between ICAEW and ICAA. Therefore it is concluded that ICAP and ACCA members claiming exemptions into ICAEW and then passing further exams of ICAEW and becoming member of ICAEW can claim MRAs held by ICAEW.
This also guides us that if training is not done under an Accountancy body with which ICAA(or others may be as well) have MRA then there would be no further training required to gain membership of ICAA. Therefore in future if ICAEW start accepting ACCA training then ACCA members don't need to undergo any further training when claiming MRA between ICAEW and ICAA.

Subject RE MRA between ICAEW and ICAA(TO KEITH)
Hello Keith,
1. So finally ICAP members who become members of ICAEW through this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), after gaining exemption into ICAEW programme and passing further papers, can claim MRA between ICAEW and ICAA? Yes? Yes, so long as you have only been granted an exemption to a portion of the ICAEW and have successfully completed their remaining examinations â effectively becoming a full member of ICAEW this would be considered normal admission and you will be permitted to apply for membership under the reciprocal arrangement between us and ICAEW under the Global Accounting Alliance.
2. ACCA Affiliates who gain exemption into ICAEW programme and then pass further papers of ICAEW prgramme and become members of ICAEW can claim MRA between ICAEW and MRA? Yes? This question I believe is essentially the same as the above and the answer would be the same. I am assuming that when you refer to ââ¦.between ICAEW and MRA?â you meant ICAEW & ICAA. If this is not the case you will need to clarify as this is where the confusion was occurring previously.
3. ICAEW is accepting training done under ICA-Pakistan training contract. Will they need to undergo any further training to claim ICAA membership through MRA between ICAEW and ICAA? No, so long as you have been admitted to membership with ICAEW under the above conditions you will simply need to apply for membership with us.
Please confirm all the 3 requirements above.
Looking Forward,
Adeel Khan
