I am a Filipina living in the USA. I have not done accounting for approximately 10 years but want to get to work again. I have registered with UpWork but I am having trouble with the skills test. AA. I am new in this forum. I was in search of a Pakistani forum where I am able to discuss accounting things. I have read and studied accounting like Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance, Balance sheet, Final Accounts etc. But I am really stuck on Cash book, especially on Double column and single column differentiation. Case

My company has taken over a running sole proprietorship concern organization, for this purpose we have signed a taking over agreement and completed the process.

However, the said proprietorship concern organization was a vendor unit of PSMCL and could not stop its transaction during handover process due to this sales tax output stands. Now the question arises here is,

i) We can't claim cash payment from FBR, because the entity has not been liquidated and the condition given in the sales tax ordinance is only in the condition where the item destroyed or lost etc

ii) what would be the best possible way to get refund or transfer the balance into the company which has taken over the proprietorship concern

Your answers and views will be highly appreciated.

The life insurance business in Pakistan was nationalized in March 1972. At the beginning of the life insurance companies 32 has been merged and placed under Beem three units called "A", "B" and "C" units Beem. But later, these units were merged Beem and November 1, 1972, the Bureau of Life Insurance Corporation has been consolidated and assigned to the Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan State.

I am originally from Faisalabad. I immigrated to Canada in 2007.
Now studying for CGA.

I would like to know how can I move to USA?
How can I get a Job in USA? Where do I find USA jobs? How can I know if US employer is interested in hiring someone from Canada?
What is the procedure for getting a job in US and eventually settling there? Should I study for CPA or anyother course. Is CGA is acceptable in US?
