<font face="Verdana">
i read it in a book of managerial accounting (writer horngrain ... appology for incorrect spelling!!) tht the role of accounting and accountants is becomming more towards managerial n decision-making aspects of a business than the traditional one. now accountants r directly the part of the management, n have diverse responsibilities in all the business functions including production/operations, finance, marketing side etc etc n not just the accounting side. accountants collaborate with all the areas n help the higher mgmt. to take right decisions.

i ve narrated this in my own words. i hope tht trends in accounting will get reshaped on these paths in pakistan also.
