I would say, it is the viewer who is to be blammed then the object. Cable also shows lots of informative channels but we never watch them and many people don't even bother tuning those channels on their TV sets. I guess the bigger problem is on the receiving end. However, I do agree that it shouldn't be part of OUR culture as it brings more harm than anything else.
