I submitted the form in FRSH and KPMG in Sept 2004, when I was doing preparations for Core Attempt. I cleared all the papers in first attempts. This all info is necessary so U can realize wht the audit firms want. 1. KPMG they did nt call me for interview. ( I know some of ACCA students in KPMG, who r part II students, and doing articleship for 1-2 years. How KPMG selected them ??? 2. FRSH I gave thier test, that was not so bad, I answered wrongly the questions of Taxation and I think one from Auditing. I received a call thenafter, but in whole interview the manager kept advising me to do CA and for joining FRSH after 6 months, is'nt confusing. (There r so many ACCA students in FRSH, including one I know , who joined them after doing BCOM .... YES BCOM. After all, wht can I say, I have said too much. Hi Bilal,
It is indeed very suprising to hear that ford rhodes only took 3-4 CA-Inters. How is that possible? Cheers
02-09-2005, 06:36 AM
Avg joe bahi believe me it is truth.Ford rhodes only hired about 12-15 students this time after all the process of tests and interview and among those 12-15 only 4-5 were ca inter, the rest were acca. One of my friends who passed the inter in the last attempt was one of the lucky one among the 4-5 students and he told me this fact.

I think that icap should take strong notice of the fact that ca firms are prefering acca students.these firms should be excluded from the icap firms list.

U r totally against ACCA without a resonable Excuse. You want companies who merely would take advantage of the lower classes of unprotected people's(ACCA's as u would love to call them). The only way to ensure that people like u and others properly represent ACCA's is to show awareness and accept facts. Your rant about banning the firms u recruit ACCA's naive to be blunt. It seems most of Countries is quite satisfied with the way things are going, and perhaps you are not aware, but consolidated democracies have very little to worry about in the way of revolt. People protest through the polls, and those who think that is not enough are barely big enough to even be referred to as a minority. Also, not everyone can depend on themselves. Your inability to accept that some people really do need some sort of social net angers me. This is not a perfect world, and not everyone would survive without some sort of help. The system of firms but certainly they shoudnt black listed because they are recruiting more ACCA's. Your little idea of libertarian utopia is nice on paper, but not everyone can fend for themselves. Externalities make this even scale a pipe dream. So, we have to even it out a bit or at least try to. --------------------------------------------- If I could... Then I would... Turn back time!!

MY friends i am not against the acca.in fact i think that syllabus of acca is far more extensive and conceptual than ca.in addition to this i have also planned to do acca after completing my ca inter.
The point which i am trying to convey through this forum is that if these firms call themselvers a chartered accountant firms than why they are prefering acca students over ca inter. bilal
