dear farrukhnajam,
u r absolutely correct that many people , after doing ACCA especially, go for CIMA or ACA. And i personally think/feel that it is good.
Bcoz due to the acca syllabus, as it contains almost 4 or 5 papers of financial costing and 4 or 5 of managment costing/planning/costing, which makes the students neutral so he can/should go for , u may say, further specialization or can do practice of thier studies(acca) in any accountancy firm(ONLY IN FIRM NOT IN JOB).Even some peoples recomend that before doing ca or cima , ACCA is best option(it is a long debate 'HOW').
Anyhow, the question about ca+cima is beyond me ) .
i think u r in module C(just guess),u should go to your any ACA teacher and just take his advice about the combination of CA+CIMA. I CAN PREDICT A SWEET SMILE ON HIS FACE, GURANTEE,.
remember that i am not not saying that CA is full stop for your studies
but u should go with the rhythm of your own selcted studies, like after doing ca , cisa or cia or cfa too, will be considerd a power boost for your study+practicle support. anyhow if u want to make ca+cima combination then also it is not a big issue/problem but i advise u never write in your CV that u have both status bcoz i have seen not often but once or twice that empolyer/specially staff for hiring trainee smiling on seeing a designations of CIMA+ACA in the CV.(since they stuck do decide about, becoz they don't hav any dept. in which CIMA+ACA work is done by single person, and they always hire u to make a professional+multi skill in your study area)
Lastly my friend, as i said in my previous post,be cleared about your future. u must first set a target and then follw it with all your best.
becoz without any set point/target u never know where u r going and u alwayz slip from your arbitirary path.

AND MR. ACCOUNTANT 1,
i was just jonkin about words like 'comision',my friend u must tell and write about your accountancy BODY, since u have a good net facility, many peoples like me(especially) get very short time for these things due to other activites.even i visit sometimes after 20 30 days on this forum. ). SO u must not stop for helping anyone.
ANY how i was just making an addition of two important aspects of any decision about carrer.(in any field)
have a nice day

NEWS RELEASE

03 May 2006

CIMA’S 2005 OPERATING AND FINANCIAL REVIEW DEMONSTRATES PROOF OF
SUCCESS

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the largest
international professional accountancy body with a sole focus on business, is
delighted to announce the publication of its 2005 CIMA Annual Review
which, as a first among professional accountancy institutes, outlines its
plans in a manner consistent with the principles of the UK Operating
and Financial Review.

Ian Christison, CIMA President, said

"We have recorded another tremendously successful year which we believe
is based on our ongoing focus on accountants in business."

He added

"Maintaining our lead as the fastest growing UK-based accountancy body
in membership terms in the UK and Republic of Ireland and building on
our financial strength to continue to expand our support to our members,
students and their employers across our markets, we have chosen to
report our performance in a bold, meaningful and forward-looking way, based
on five clearly defined KPIs."

Charles Tilley, CIMA Chief Executive, said

"While we were somewhat disappointed that the Chancellor removed the
statutory requirement for an OFR, we do believe that narrative reporting
is a critical part of an organisation’s overall communication with its
stakeholders. As a strong advocate of the OFR, we feel we can do no
less than demonstrate tangible proof of our commitment to OFRs in our own
narrative reporting."

Highlights of CIMA’s success in 2005 include

• Remaining the fastest growing member body of the Consultative
Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) in the UK/Republic of Ireland with 4%
growth in 2005
• A 70% increase in employer partnerships
• An increase in reserves to allow more flexibility to invest in CIMA’s
future
• A 79% membership satisfaction rating (15% thought the service they
receive from CIMA was fair, 2% said poor and 4% didn’t make a statement)
• The development of significant relationships in China and India while
further developing CIMA’s core markets
• The announcement of the development of a Centre of Excellence for CPD
in 2006
• Further plans to advance the boundaries of the science of management
accountancy

CIMA East Midlands to host its first student conference...

11 August 2006

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is to host its first ever student conference in Wyboston, Bedfordshire on September 2nd.

The CIMA initiative will advise students, who have just received their exam results, on job opportunities and salary expectations, and will also assist them with their career profile.

There will be a varied programme of presentations, run by experts including industry renowned professionals, giving students the opportunity to ask recruitment consultants any questions they may have about their future careers.

Presentation topics will include memory and exam techniques, time management exercises and information about job market.

Robert Jelly, CIMA's director of education said "We welcome current or potential CIMA students to this great event where the agenda is to give people the opportunity to directly ask us any questions that they have regarding all aspects of being a CIMA student."

He added "This student conference is an exciting first for us and we are hoping it will successfully reach and inform the students that represent us in this area."

Emma Hawthornthwaite, a CIMA World prize-winner in P1 who has also completed all of the Managerial Level qualifications, will be attending the conference where she will be presented with her certificate, prize cheque and study aids by the CIMA president, John Coghlan.
