AoA ......... i have recently shifted frm Khi 2 Isb ........ and i havent been going gr8 in CA thou i did ok in Bcom with 68% frm KU ......... im frm 6th MFC and ill be appearing for OBBC n TAX this attempt ......... under the current regulations of progresion i can move in to Mod D n apply for firms in Isb nxt yr ........ leaving Ferguson out off course ....... i need to knw abt the situation in Isb for firms ......... and thr location wud be a plus ........ i knw abt KPMG (since i worked at touchstone so its just opposite tht) .......... i wanna knw more abt Sidat Hyder and Deloitte in Isb ......... cuz under my situation Deloitte seems to be the only respectable place where i can actually go .......... although im told tht other thn Ferguson any where is possible .......... plz adise!

This one is gonna be ur 6th attempt kilo 19 and yet u have done A & B only, so.....

You got to change ur mind and consider firms after deolitte also respectable..lolzzz

good reference eliminates the need of lesser attempts...n this is the case with all the Big 4, though there are exceptions...

in Pakistan might is right...
With Paawa u can join any firm including Fergusons and KPMG. and this is as per practical experience..

as maani and abdur rehman said, some ppl have told me the same ....... but wat sort of references are required ? frm teachers or other professionals ........ thr r very few ppl who actually knw CAs to act ........

well frankly speaking no CAs reference is required.
Anyone who knows a partner or senior manager of the firm very well and can ask to get u inducted..

The situation in ISB is unclear but as far as khi is concerned i knw ppl frm as far back as 3rd MFC who ot in BIG4 this time arnd .......... in khi thr is gr8 demand and all who apply get into the top 3 and the rest in MYASCO ......... but i have no idea how is it in ISB ......... plz somebody frm here advise.

I guess situation is same in Islamabad. I know some students working in KPMG who have not yet qualified CA-Inter.

References may be of partners, clients or people who have somewhat influence on the management.

Abdul Rehman agreed with you that this PAWA can do much in Pakistan, however, reference culture is there in various other parts of world.
