Assalamu alaikum;
Dear All,

I am intending to appear for CMA Exam in Nov-07, currently i am studying in Stage-3 of ICMAP too, and GOD knows how difficultly i have reached to this stage, not sure as to how long i'll take to finally be an ACMA, ALSO, after 3years i'll be in CANADA, since my education of ICMAP would not be regarded V Well in CANADA, i am thinking to do CMA( USA based professional degree ), keeping the contemporary situation in mind i am getting confused as to wether my decision to switch to CMA from ICMA would be right or rong?
OR in your opinion what would be the best solution for me?

I would like any of respected member to please advise...

Well, IMA's CMA is good in the entire Middle East, USA and Canada. President of IMA, Mr. Paul Sharman, is also a resident of Canada. and for you, being in the deep waters of ICMAP, CMA would be a piece of cake, rest assured. But leaving ACMA just at this stage would not be a right thing.

Dear Hanif;
Many thanks for your response, it is indeed V helping.... i also am thinking that leaving ICMAP entirely would not be a right decision, HOWEVER perhpas i should take CMA along with it and try to keep taking papers of ICMAP [As much as i can] too.

thanking you...

If you intend to migrate to Canade , consider Canadian equivalent of CMA = SMA's Exams OR CGA .

Rightly said after reaching to stge 3 , qualifying ICMAPs toughest
passing criteria , CMA , SMA , CIMA's exmas will be pieces of cake for you . Trust me .

Dear All,

A few weeks ago we met with the President of IMA, Paul Sharman in his trip to Saudi Arabia. It was interesting to know that Paul was from Canada and did not have the US CMA designation. Paul Sharman was here to launch a local CMA chapter in Riyadh. The head of that Chapter Tim Douglas is also from Canada and had the Canadian CMA.

Now to answer your question, if you are planning to work and stay in Canada, you should not got for the US CMA. In fact, you should opt for the Canadian CMA. According to a recent survey, Canadian CMA's earn the most salaries as compared to MBA's or other designations in this field. But there's a catch to it - the Canadian CMA is not as easy as the US CMA. Therefore, you need to be very determined in order to go for it.

Dear Tayyab;

Many thanks for your response,
First i would like to have complete infomration regarding Canadian CMA, can you please pass on the website address where i can read all the related information?

ALSO, in your opinion doing US-CMA would be of NO-WORTH at all in CANADA or it would have LESS-WORTH?

BESIDES this,
Can YOU or any person tell me which QUALIFICATION [In the field of Finance/Accounts] in CANADA is best? in terms of Salary Package and other benefits?

Since i have 3years to prepare myself before i enter the CANADIAN TERRITORY, in your opinion which QUALIFICATION i should go for now so i should face NO-DIFFICULTY there?

I'll be grateful if YOU or any member can please suggest...

Regards,
