Sir, I want to put my situation before you with confidence that you will give me the most suitable solution to me and also others having the same problem.I am an affiliate member of ACCA, but I took such papers that now I will get 10 exemptions from ICAEW syllabus( Out of 15 Papers) and one can get a maximum of 12 exemptions if he passes p6 and p7 too which I had not opted. Sir what I should do
1) Pass these two extra papers of ACCA and then apply to ICAEW

2) Take the available 10 exemptions and then I will have to goto UK for passing these last papers of ICAEW and for training

ICAEW`s training is not easy to find in UK even for british people.
ICAP memebers will get 12 exemptions. They can start Training in PAKISTAN
After passing two extra papers of ACCA ,I will also bhge allowed to start training here in PAKISTAN.
Please advise me.

Dear Khani,

It is really hard to find out articles at UK firms in UK.

In my view, one can get ICAEW training in Pakistan, if he has to sit for specialized papers. I mean last three papers devised by ICAEW for this purpose. However, I am not very much certain on it.

It would be much better, if you write to ICAEW stating ur situation and asking for the best option for you. They will certainly reply you. It is my personal experience.

In my view

If you have decided to go to UK for joining ICAEW then you need not to do ACCA's two papers.

And,

If you intend to get such training here in Pakistan (and if ICAEW asks you to qualify such papers of ACCA for getting exemptions and to join training thereafter in Pakistan), then you should do ACCA papers and then opt for doing CA of ICAEW.

Regards,

Kamran.

Thank you sir for your reply.
Sir is my decision to go for ACA from ICAEW after ACCA is good enough ,in your view to shape my career,or only ACCA is enough to settle in uk.

Dear,

Going for ICAEW's CA is a very good option and is quite recommendable.

Regards,

Kamran.
