Mr. Kamran, not specifically asked from me but I can give you an idea about the Big Four rankings in UAE. It's much the same like Pakistan.

1) PWC
2) KPMG
3) EY
4) Deloitte

some PPl may claim DTT is at number 3 spot.

Hope that is helpful.

Dear Idrees,

Thank you very much for the info shared by you. To which firm Deloitte has close contest? I think such competition should be between KPMG and Deloitte.

Pl correct me if I am wrong.

Best regards,

KAMRAN.

Dear Kamran

Your view of close competition between DT & KMPG is derived from the global ranking of these firms. Well, restricting our discussion to the UAE environment, I believe that the contest for the third and fourth place is between Deloitte and EY. This is based on my knowledge of their clientele, staff strength etc.

However, in UAE, most ppl prefer EY than KPMG and Deloitte.

Dear,

As per 2006 results the worldwide ranking was as under

1. PWC
2. Deloitte
3. E&Y
4. KPMG

I don't know current situation for last year.

My comparison for 3rd and 4th position was specific to UAE.

Thank you for correcting me.

Regards,

KAMRAN.

<br />Dear Pracs,

It's always nice to see you on the forum.

Plz contribute regularly.

Are you still at UAE with some big 4? How do you rate big 4 from 1 to 4 at UAE?

It would be kind of you to give the insight.

Regards,

KAMRAN.

I have moved out to the UK, some three years now although still with a Big 4.

Of my experience about Dubai/UAE I would rate the Big 4 as following
-PwC
-Ernst & Young
-KPMG
-Deloitte

I am not quite sure about UAE, since there is no public information, I'd reckon its GT followed by BDO, although I think Talal Abu Ghazallah is at number 5.

UK, well that's public information
1) PwC
2) Deloitte
3) KPMG
4) Ernst & Young
5) Grant Thornton
6) BDO
