I would like to study ACCA and want you to guide me how I should proceed.

I have done M.com and currently working for a big multinational for last several years. and would like to pursue career in accounting field. I want to know

Which books I should start reading from?

Where can I get books from?

Need urgent help.

Dear New
First up you need to tell us which city you belong to so that we can tell you in regards to that city .. as for books .. I would recommend BPP ACCA KITs for all the papers ..

I would suggest that for some papers BPP is good while for others go for ATFL especially taxation, financial reporting, audit and performance management

I am A member Of Acca And so i am in professional stage attempting core papers. From my past experience dude i will advice you to opt for both books BPP and also ATFL as if one is superior in one aspect than other is superior in next aspect. ATFL books are a bit more professional than BPPs books but both are good.Complete the kits for papers and also purchase the examination CDs. Looking forward for your reply <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

I agree with all the members' advice but I would point out that if you are studying on your own then BPP books are better than ATFL because they are detailed.
The books are available at a number of places but I would advice you to go to Commerce Book Point which is opposite old Sabzi Mandi near Rehmania mosque. The guy gives great discounts.
One more thing, since you have done MCom I advice you to contact ACCA about exemptions if any apply to you.
I hope I have been helpful.

Somebody stop me!

Yes i agree with you. BPP is much more detailed and simply written ie easy to understand, then ATFL but ATFL also covers all the material relevant to the papers in a more professional way. But for exams you have to complete both books ATFL and BPP if you want to acheive a good aggregate, at least its what i did. Regards
