<br />Dear Sir,

I am a student of B.Com from Allama Iqbal Open University. I just want to ask about the recognition of PIPFA qualification in Saudi Arabia. In near future i plan to go to Saudi Arabia for job, what difference it will make to my chances of getting a good job there if i obtain PIPFA qualification also along with my B.Com?

Or is there any other qualification/certification which can be helpful in finding a good job in Saudi Arabia.

Thanks & regards,

M. Imran Nazar

Mr. Imran,

In Saudi Arabia mostly employers are looking for U.S and U.K qualified professionals for good jobs but qualified professionals from Pakistan are also doing good jobs in Saudi Arabia.
PIPFA don't have any market in Saudi Arabia as compare to other pakistani qualifications (CA, ACMA) but anything with B.Com will be a plus point for you.

Mr. Sohail,

Thanks for your prompt reply. A freind of mine who is doing CA has suggested me to do CIA, can u please guide me about its prospects (especially in Saudi Arabia) and the process of obtaining CIA qualification. I mean how long it takes and also the cost involved? Will it be a right choice for me?

Please guide.

Imran.

Mr. Sharan,

CIA is an international professional qualification and its always good to have this kind of qualification on your CV.
Personally speaking I don't have much information about CIA. You can check other threads about CIA on this forum and you will get all the information you want.

Mr. Sohail,

Can you please clear one more thing to me? I just want to know about the job opportunities in Saudi Arabia I mean how difficult or easy is it to find a job if you don't have one in the first place and one tries to find one after reaching Saudi Arabia?

Thanks,

Imran.

Mr. Sohail,

Thank you very much for your time, your advice has been very informative for me. Can you do me some more favour? As you have said above that it varies between person to person, so I just want to give you a brief of myself.

I have been working in a private company here in Islamabad for the last seven to eitht years after doing my F.Sc. and have been in different job roles since then from receptionist to P.S to the CEO and then for the last two and half years I have been working in the accounts department and this prompted me to do my B.Com.(last semester from AIOU). I have gained lots of experience about the preparation of final accounts of the company, use of accounting software (Quick Books)and working closely with the auditors during audit. I am also good in English (writing, listening & speaking).

What is your estimation about me now (regarding job prospects).

Regards,
Imran.

Mr. Sharan,

I hope you will get job in Saudi Arabia after little struggle but again I will say it varies from person to person and I also can not predict salary range.
Another thing, above information is primarily for the person who is searching job inside Saudi Arabia and having valid work permit because I am not sure about current direct hiring of Saudi companies from Pakistan.

Dear Anam,

For PPT exam you should be intermediate passed with at least 45 percent marks. It means (as per my apprehension) that you can appear for PPT after passing FSc. For authentic reply visit ICAP office.

CA, I also heard, was very hard, but never believed. So when I took the task I found it was not that difficult.

If you can study for longer hours, can avoid/sacrifice your family get togethers and festivals, and invest your precious time in studies and work (that should obviously done), you will certainly get through. Needed is only the commitment.

Costs at RAETs (colleges) can be higher for so many people. However, you can discuss with college management for discounts and installments etc.

Regards,

Kamran.
