Hello Mrs.Tense,

Do also tell us that, Being a girl is Your Problem ??? Or doing CA is your Problem ???

Let me tell you very Clearly, Girls are also eligible for taking Admission in CA. There is no restriction in it. CA is hard but still it is not Rocket Science. There are late sittings in many other feilds also like IT, Programming, Sales, Etc.

Well not every time you need to go out stations. May be u'll get a job in which U have to work with in City.

Dil charaha hay kernay ka to Bismillah kijiyay. Whats your Age now ? And your Previous Educational Backgroung till now ?

Best of Luck.

@ Tense Wali Larki,

Your Age indicates a Lot, Like agar tum 19-20 ki ho Tab tumharay pass poori 20 ki line hay perhnay k liay, More time in ground to play, Already agar tum 25-27 ki ho chuki ho to CA main Tang araana fazool hay ya Bohat Challengin ho jai ga, So it is also important to determine Are u In Suitable Age to Accept this Challnge.

Backgroung also indicates a lot. If U are already Commerce graduate than U must also have good Awareness of Accounting, Commerce,.....so it will help U in making right Decesion. May be possible That You are previously Science Student And Accounting, COmmerce is like ALIEN to you than in this case you need more Counselling, So thats Y I ask U about your Background.

Now U better understand intensions of my Questions......Kuch logon ko adat hoti hay har jagga apni Waqaalat jhaarnay phonch jatay hain!

Commerce background to my reckoning is not a requirement at all for this field. And to the extent I have seen people with graduation in commerce struggle more than many others. So anyone who opts for CA should NEVER go for graduation in commerce and start it right after his/her Fsc or equivalent education.

I agree to the rest of points made by you that late sittings and outstation assignments can be managed in most cases and for girls the main consideration before joining this profession is time. Though minimum time for qualification now can be 4.5 years and theoretically a student can qualify before the age of 22, however, practically often 7 to 8 years are taken by the student till they complete the training requirement and stills exams are left to be qualified.

I have seen the same regarding commerce background. They had to establish new concepts all over again. Fresh students(who don't have any commerce background) grasp concepts comparatively easily
Late sittings in firms is common and anyone deciding to consider a career in C.A should take account of all the relevant factors sorrounding the field

C.A was not your first choice, right?
I believe no qualification is that tough to pass. It is just that we don't study upto the required level. Some of us study a little and say "yaar, itna parha tha, pata nahin kyun fail ho gaye". It all depends on your commitment, dedication and the will to do C.A. Logon ki mat suno. Who knows how had they prepared and whether or not they studied to the demanded level
Coming to your question, i believe C.A is considered tough because of the limited resources for students. Students have to go through various books of various publishers to get prepared

Other reasons for toughness of C.A are listed in the topic Resolving rumours and myths about ACCA in Pak
