mein ne ek amount accrued kari thi june 30,2010 ki, aur us ki payment july'10 mein ki tax katne k baad,mein ne challan mein tax year 2010 lkha tha, kya mein ne sahi kiya ya mujhe 2011 karna chahiya tha,aur quarterly statement ki last october 20 thi, mein ne abhi tk n nahi ki, kya mein baad mein kar sakta hun is pe koi penalty hai kya,

Your treatment of accrual payment is absolutely correct because tax withold by you was pertaining to the tax year 2010.

Ap chunky apny client ki income par tax deduct karty han, jab aap k client nay ap ko invoice ki ho gi to us nay apni income book kar li ho gi jo k tax year 2010 ki ho gi, to jab ap nay us par tax deduct kiya to wo us ki 2010 ki income par hi kiya tha , is liye sahi kiya aap nay.

1st quarter ki withholding statement ki last date 20 October.
2nd quarter ki withholding statement ki last date 20 January.
3rd quarter ki withholding statement ki last date 20 April.
4th quarter ki withholding statement ki last date 20 July.

thank lap top bhai and awais bahi, bus mujhe yeh baata den k mein ne 1st quarter abhi jama nahi karaya hai, kia mein bad mein kara sakta hu, koi penalty hai kia.

Where any person fails to furnish a return of income or a statement as required under section 115 or wealth statement or wealth reconciliation statement or statement under section 165 within the due date.

Such person shall pay a penalty equal to 0.1% of the tax payable for each day of default subject to a minimum penalty of five thousand rupees and maximum penalty of 25% of the tax payable in respect of that tax year.

The penalty shall be 0.1% of the tax payable for each day of default subject to a minimum penalty of Rs.5000 and a maximum of 25% of the tax payable.
