Dear smtj,
if you decide to go for icaew aca then first do ACCA which minimumentry requirement is bachlor degree.
But if your want to save time and money then get 60% marks in your Fsc and start your CA from icap. If you are faithful with yourself and you are a hardworking studentthen you can complete your ACA from pakistan in Short time of 5 years.
And after that you have 3 or 3.5 yearsof accountancy experience and you can esily get your study visa of uk and you need only pass 4 papers of icaew and training which both require 2 years papers and training of icaew complete in two years.
And if you are following the Mr One Flower policy then i think you can facing lots of problems in doing icaew ACA.
secondly , doing acca you need to have these qualification

In order to study for the ACCA, you can either be a school leaver, university graduate, or a mature student holding any of the following

• At least two A’ Level and three GCSE Passes (five separate subjects)
• BTEC National Award (Higher Nationals)
• M.Com (With Advance)
• MBA (With Advance)
• A University degree
• A recognized professional qualification
• Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)
And i am sure as you metion that you are Fsc student so you have none of these.
In ACCA there are total 16 two are optional 14 papers
Fundamental level

F1 Accountant in business AB
F2 Management accounting MA
F3 Financial accounting FA

Skills level

F4 Corporate and business law CL
F5 Performance management PM
F6 Taxation T
F7 Financial reporting FR
F8 Audit and assurance AA
F9 Financial management FM

Professional level

Core

P1 Professional accountant PA
P2 Corporate reporting CR
P3 Business analysis BA

Options

P4 Advanced financial management AFM
P5 Advanced performance management APM
P6 Advanced taxation AT
P7 Advanced audit and assurance AAA

Examination Rules

*Students may attempt a maximum of four papers in a six months period, including paper-based and computer-based exams.

*Students may vary the order they attempt exams within each module but they may not vary the order of the modules.
* Knowledge exams are of two-hours assessments which can be sat as a computer-based or paper-based exams.
* Skills and professionals exams are all three-hours paper-based exams.
* Students will gain a permanent pass in any paper where they achieve a Mark of 50% or more.

Exemptions

There are definitely exemptions for persons who have completed M.Com /MBA and CAT courses depending upon the nature of the subjects. Advice will be given on request. Students should, of course, apply for exemptions directly to the ACCA, but at the time of registration.

Eligibility

For professional examination route

Age = 18 years

Mature student entry route

Age = 21 years

A-Level-Graduation

So if you done Four or two years bacholr then after wasting two years you need to waste more 2 years to only complete ACCA with out practice.

Tu bhai khod hisab lagao.
2 years bachlor+2years ACCA then doing ACA of icaew you need minimum 4 years=2+2+4 =>8 years
So please dont throw your self in time and money wasting activities just do Icap ACA in 5 yeasr and Do icaew ACA after completing ICAP ACA which require 7 years
Doing ACA from ICAP you got 3.5 years experience then you have best oppertunities to get job vacancies in best firms for ACA icaew training in pakistan and also in UK or in gulf region
because of your work experience with icap.

Ghoor say socho
Mr one nay sirf M.com k baad ACCA kiya hai.
Na usnay ICAP say CA kiya hay Aur na ICAEW say aur in think kar bhi nahe sakta.
Just Meray aur app jay say student ko mis guide karta hai.
Do your fsc and join ICAP for ACA.
And if some body have ICAP ACA degree and after ICAP he got ACA of icaew tu phir usko CAT+ACCA+BACHLOR+MBA+AAT kisi degree ki zaroorat nahi

Dear Readers

I am not misguiding anyone nor forcing anyone. Its upto individual to decide what to do.

Firstly after ACCA one do not need to go for ICAEW as both are equals. Yes after ACA from ICAP one need to have some other international qualification as ICAP is inferior qualification. ICAP is not recognised at all outside Pakistan, where ACCA is recognised in 80 countries of the world.

After ACA from ICAP one need to pass ICAEW 4 papers plus 2 yrs training. Means 3.5 yrs training of ICAP plus 2 yrs training of ICAEW means total of 5.5 yrs of training. Moreover one need to apss ICAP 20 papers plus 4 papers of ICAEW.

On other hands ACCA Affliciate (person who have passed 14 papers of ACCA but do not have any experience) needs to pass ICAEW 3 papers plus 3 yrs training. Means total of three yrs training.

firms in Pakistan will prefer ACCA over ICAP for ICAEW training as ACCA affliciate already had experience of sitting and passing British papers under British system. Remember ACCA papers are very similar to ICAEW. But ICAP papers are very different to ICAEW papers and are based on rata.

I never said I did M.com. i did Mastrer in Economics. People like SAIFEE who are just Fsc, are advsing people what to do and are saying Bachelors of Masters in nothing. Secondly I never cared about ACA from ICAEW even I was offered training in UK leading to ICAEW examinations.

It is clear from entry requirement of ACCA and ICAP which qualification is better. ACCA ask for Pakistani graduate whereas ICAP ask for Fsc or F.A so one can understand which qualification is better.

Even if I did ACCA after Masters i still qualified at age of 27 where ICAP people qualifiy at average age of 31. So who is better.

Anyway best of luck in your studies of ICAP.

Dear SMTJ

Nothing is happening. SAIFEE is claiming that i am misguiding people and that i am not qualified coz i did not do CA. He further says its a wastage of time to do bachelors.

Students should also know ACCA with 5 yrs experience get Icaew membership straightaway without passing any ICAEW paper.

yeh DARD is right,,, If you are eager to go abroad ACCA is an ideal choice ,,, but in pakistan ACCA supply is at high and demand low so the statistics are not in your favor dear Sweetie ,,,, so if u want to saty in pakistan u can try for CA although you should take the relevant factors or u can go for BBA in IBA LUMS or CBM,,, ths ll also give you an edge,,,,

Baqi mera viewpoint ye hy k jis field main tumhara shok or jis main tumharee expertise ho ,go for it ,,,, cuz koi bhe field kharab nahn hote its a money that matters,,,,
