I have done a BBA in Marketing and Finance very recently. I want to study CIMA seriously and add CIA to help me understand my work in industry properly. Would CIA really help me in my career as a management accountant? Also, if I do my work experience for CIA in a firm outside Europe or America, would my work experience be recognized? What would be the best way for me to secure entry-level jobs in internal audit while I finish the CIA qualification part by part? Most vacancies for Internal Audit ask for CA / CC without CIA. Would it help me, since I'm not a CA but a Management Accountant?

Generally speaking, Management Accounting and Internal Audit may be viewed in two lights.

Management Accounting and Internal Audit may be seen as different from each other since the purposes are different and the workings too.
But you may also say that Management Accounting and Internal Audit are similar because mostly, in Internal Audit is being carried out on the management and their controls.

I would suggest, do CIMA, join a company, start working, take your time and have a feel for what is actually going on and if then u reach a point in ur life wher u require CIA, then do it.

Don't follow the crowd, stand out. Don't run after qualifications, i've seen 18 yo kids with ACCA's and planning on doing CFA and so on.

The job market needs experience.

Internal Audit is a consultancy based approach and very very different from Management Accounting.

In pakistan u wont get jobs in Deloitte's ERS or AFF's RAS or EnY's ERP based only on CIA.

In firms, who does CIA, when they reach consultant level.

Your best bet, do CIMA or CA or ACCA and join a firm, focus on going into Risk or Business Services sector in the firm. And then you do CIA.

On the other hand, After you in the firm and feel like you aren't a fan of the consultancy based thingy, then you complete ur tenure and move into the industry.

Don't run into things baased on what people tell you are what the market demands.
Get into it, you'll find out what YOU want yourself.
and thats where success comes from.
