DEAR OPHIE,
I also fully agree with u.the way u are replying u look like an examiner to me.am i right?
ALSO the message i want to convey through this post is just about the examiner comments on question which i feel are not a true reflection.even the students who get pass agree with me.
Besides this i dont have any complain about ICAP.i like its examinaton procedure, passing criteria and its professionalism.if i dont then i would not have been doing CA.

Dear Bilal .........

I am also trying to convey to you the process that examiners go through while checking the papers ....... These are the same examiners that write their comments for students ..... I myself have read these comments during my study time period and always found them very useful .......

I tend to disagree a little... I think the time has come for ICAP to come forward with suggested solution to examination questions which is now a worldwide practice. Sometimes the examiner comments are general and do not reflect exactly what should have been the correct solution.

As far as my information is concerned, ICAP is already considering this ........ This is of course the next logical step after declaring the 50% benchmark. But remember mates ....... the standard of question papers is gonna go way beyond your wildest dreams afterwards........<img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>

Here we can also draw a distinctive line btw ACCA and OCAP. ACCA are also issuing the Answer Papers as well as Examiners Comments which are very Specific...... If u dont agree thenb pzl check them out ureself... This demands a change in the Policy Of ICAP

And has ICAP issued the Marks and Passing Cretiria. If yes then plz tell me that cretiria. Thanks In Advance.

ICAP has no grading system...thatz a good thing in a sense that they dont want to make any distinction between the members...
Everybuddy who complete CA is a CA...no question of how well he has done in his examinations...

No i am not taling in that sense...

I am talking that before issuing the Marks statement ICAP followed a grading system consisting of Grade A, B , C And R , D ....

Are they still applied now or any other method is followed............

«·´`·.(*·.¸(`·.¸ ¸.·´)¸.·*).·´`·»
«.......... S w a l a t ..........»
«·´`·.(¸.·*(¸.·´ `·.¸)*·.¸).·´`·»

grades are issued only to those students who are unable to pass the whole module.IF a student successfully passes a module then it does not matter whether he gains 50 marks or 80 marks he is declared pass and no grade is issued to him.
if a person gets a refer in one or two papers or is failed in any paper then a grade is issued to him .

Swalat can u tell me about the marking system in acca.
(1)if a person qualifies acca with 70percent marks and the other one qulaifies with 55percent marks,is there any difference between the two.
(2) how many papers can a person give at one time?
(3) is there any system of refers in acca.
(4) can a person move forward to the next module without clearing the previous.
