By the way, do u know a site which offers free soft copy versions of the classics. I knew about one but I have forgotten its link. It was "...promo.." something, but I am not sure.

I think "to disagree" is a basic right of everyone .......

Dear Ophie,

After reading this on one of ur posts, I thought u may like to read "1984 by George Orwell". I had just started reading this yesterday. Its about a world where the government spies on ur every move & every single word u say can be heard by "telescreens" installed everywhere. Everything is censored & u do not have the right "to disagree" from what the govt says even in ur thoughts, as that would lead to capture by the thoughtpolice & certain death. The book costs Rs 950 at liberty books, but u can read this free online version at

http//dir.yahoo.com/arts/humanities/literature/authors/literary_fiction/orwell__george__1903_1950_/1984/

Hope u would like it!

About "Ice Station Zebra", I completely forgot the link of ur forum & its not showing up on my explorer history. I am sorry for this. Can u plz give the link again, so I can access ur forum?

Is this the one on which a movie was made in the early sixties starring Rock Hudson? Saw it a long long time ago on TCM and must say that it was good. If i can remember correctly it had something to do with submarines under the north pole set in the cold war.
