ACCA does have a US chapter, but not very well spread and with not so many members as I remember correctly. The US market is growing and Big4 firms are hiring from across the world. I presently know of Pakistani CAs and ACCAs who are now working in the US, ofcourse along with Indian, Philipino accountants.. but the main reasons for that are
-qualfied accountant
-relevant Big4 experience
-a shortage of accountants in the US
ACCA does not have a market as such in the US,.. and for non US CPA accountants it can be an uphill task to grow into the market and the firms that hire you do say that you have to pass the CPA exam in a year's time (for progression etc.)
I am not sure if you are already an ACCA or halfway through,. but I would encourage you to get some relevant experience by working for an accountancy firm and possibly passing ACCA, that could get you a job in the US to start with,.. but keep in mind that for a fruitful career in accountancy in the US, you will then have to ultimately pass the CPA exam.
