Anyways, if i am not mistaken that limit of 20 partners for professional firms was lifted some time back. Can somebody please confirm this? thnx.
Yes, local firms do use their affiliations with their parent firms as a leverage to capture clients and i feel rightly so. Some of them use this leverage lightly, some like KPMG Taseer Hadi quite aggressively. I remember some years back, they used this affliation to grab Philips and Shell which had been AFF's clients for a long time.
I am not sure that they get large shares of income from their parent firms. My guess is that its the other way around, ie the local chapters have to pay a share of their income as royalty/membership fee to the parents.
