From current behavior of most of the big firms it is apparent that they recruit ACCA affiliates or at least Part 2 (Fundamental level) passed students in my view it will be beneficial to start articleship after completion of Essential module(i.e P1 to P3) it has several advantages for example, at this level a student can plan his future area of work and specialization because at the same time you need to choose your advanced optional level papers for example if you choose/plan to start Advanced Performance Management and Advanced Financial Management as your field of interest then it will be futile to start your career from audit, similarly if you choose/plan to opt Advanced Audit and Assurance and Advanced Taxation then you have to join audit firm as soon as possible..

One can manage his studies of advanced version papers with firm(as these are only two papers) but it will be a nightmare to start articles at fundamental level because your attempt of essential module will need time to study…
