i would also feel gr8 if u advice me.
im doing ACCA from pakistan. i passed f1-f8 (all with good marks) in one year, waiting for result of f9-p2, and will hopefully appear for final 3 papers in june11. i currently have no work experiance and will hopefully get b.sc in frm obu in sept11. i have done o and a levels, with exceptionally good results and couple of world distinctions.
in a level, my teachers also used to advice me to apply to us or canada for undergraduate prog as thy wer certain that i could get scholarships. but i really liked the field of audit and had always dreamed of working in big4 and so the best route seemd to be doing acca, thn get exemptions under icap (pakistan) and continue ca along with articleshp frm big4 frm pakistan. but suddenly now icap have halved the exemptions and ca frm pak dznt seems a feasible option now. now im planning to move abroad and try 2 get into big4 there along with some other qualification.
middle east seems a gud option as after becoming acca affiliate, apply to big4 there and do icaew along. bt im not sure if this route is practically alright or not? will the firms in middle east take me sitting in pak?
recently one of my canadian relativ advisd me to come to canada as the immigration is vry easy (he thinks like that). please advise me what are my options to work in big4 in canada, and settle there! can i directly apply 2 big4 after becoming affiliate and getting b.sc degree from obu?
or shud i join an undergraduate programme in an Canadian university and first do bachelors? will i get some courses exempt? i also need a lot of scholarships as i cant afford the unis abroad. it seems that i have wasted 2 years of my lyf in acca!
after this icap sudden change in policy, im really frustrated and dnt want to live in pak anymore! plz help me! it seems like my dreams and planning since childhood has been wasted! =(
