For CA Inters and ACCAs, in my view, practical training ideally in an audit firm is must. It serves the purpose of bringing in line their theoretical knowledge with practical situation. And therefore it is mandated by ICAP and other major international accounting bodies in their approved training organizations. Difference can be seen by comparing the salary in both cases. CA Inter with training are getting salary in the range of Rs. 30K to 50K per month and in the other case they have just a little value. Exceptions to the rule are there but they are of course exceptions. Same I believe is true for ACCA. ACCAs with training of 3 to 3.5 years may have equal worth to CA Inter in the market.
