To be frank i did sit for apptitude tests for both ICAP and ICMAP (and passed both <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>)and finally decided in for ICAP, primarily because of its market repo, greater acceptability, prjudice toward ACMA. Most important of all I wanted to be an auditor and was only mildly interested towards 'Management accounting'. Moreover, a lot of jobs in line with management accounting are still manned by CAs.,, so didn't see the point there.

Ofcourse the ACCA option came in later, which i went for ofcourse simply because of its 'global recognition'.

You have all the right to compare and see what suits your requirements, resources, apptitude and future career plans.
