The Sindh Sales Tax On Services Bill 2011 have been passed by the provincial Assembly of sindh on 6th June,2011. Here are the main Points

- The Provision of Sales Tax on Services Act will apply from July 1, 2011

-"Sindh Revenue Board” is authorized to administer the Sales tax on Service in Sindh

-The tax is applicable to services specified in schedule II on
“Taxable Service”.

-Rate of service Tax is 16% except telecommunication where it is 19.5% on the “value of taxable services”

- A separate return required to be filled for the Provincial Sales tax purposes.

- A person providing Taxable Services (as given in Schedule II of Sindh Sales Tax Act,2011) is required to register and enroll at eSRB.

- It is compulsory for every one providing services in sindh to get registered / enrolled on e-SRB.

- Taxpayers already registered with FBR are not required any other documents except thy have to give their consent to FBR to share their registration information with SRB.

- If a person do not hold NTN he should ist register with FBR it is necessary. After applying for NTN and then one can apply for registration with SRB.

- Person who is already register/enrolled with FBR should Only have to enroll at SRB. Registration particulars will be shared by FBR, if you give consent on it.
