Hi Avi
As the title of this forum suggests, this forum is about accountants, and we accountants know as much about the world outside our own profession as an ant knows about mars! <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Anyways, i believe that increasing number of women entering medicine these days doesnt have anything to do with any breakthrough. I guess its more of an image thing. Medicine, like accounting and teaching is seen as a comparatively risk-free field and a profession which is not much affected by economic ups and downs. Its been seen that even in a recession, people working in the said professions are economically stable and their money-making abilities do not get affected that much. I feel that its more to do with job stability and economic reasons than anything else.
