I think they don't mind. There is no rectriction for taking up the exam., as far as u r gratuade, only thing is that u must pass the exam and they will allow u to use CISA designatury letters after you produce 5 years traininng certificate.

Hi All,

I have been gathering information about the CISA certification for some time and realized that passing the CISA exam is a different task than becoming a real IS Auditor ( which requires several years of experience and a lot of study regarding the Audit standards etc. )

so, for a software developer, with an experience of 7 years in designing and developing business applications, what should be the plan to get this certification ?

what study material is mandatory
should I start reading about all the audit standards COBIT/COSO etc. ?

please advise

Hi Sabir,

Would you please share the CISA CD ROM of 600 questions with me as I'm planning on taking the CISA exams this year. I'll be most grateful for your help.

I would also appreciate it if someone would be kind enough to share the 2005 (or 2004) Review Manual with me or provide a link where I can download it.

My e-mail address is [email protected]

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Swalat,

Thanks for extending me a warm welcome.

Just a short introduction. I come from the UK, a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), Micrsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), with a specialism in Managing Cisco Network Security (MCNS).

I left accountancy a while ago and retrained into IT 'cos I like that better. Right now, I'm planning on preparing for, and taking the CISA exams inorder to leverage my accountancy and IT skills.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

Hi all,

I have recently joined the forum. I am an ACCA, CIA and CA finalist from Islamabad. I am interested in CISA and will inshallah take the exam in June.

I have gone through the previous discussions on the forum which is really helpful.

Would someone please advice me on getting the CISA manual, CD and any other helpful material for exam.

Regards,
