Hello everyone
I have some queries regarding the new education setup of SOA.

1) As I have done A levels with Economics , Accounts and Maths and enough of the VEE requirements are fulfilled in our syllabus . I want to ask that whether I will get any formal exemptions or not?

2) VEE Exams conducted by CAS are on August 10 while SOA Exam P is perhaps in May so can I register for both ;which will mean that first I will give the Exam P and then VEE exam?

3) Do I have to clear all the three VEE exams before appearing for Exam P ?

I submitted all my queries to SOA and CAS but they never replied.
Kindly help me out.
Thankyou

SOA means "Society of Actuaries"
CAS means "Caualty Actuarial Society"
VEE means "Validation by Educational Experience"

Yes you will remain lost, as its not your area.

As for irfan_SOA's query

1- no A-levels wont gibe you any exemption of VEE, cause VEE can only be exempted by a university certificate.

2- Yes first go for Exam P, and then VEE papers

3- No You can attempt P,MF,M and C without VEE, because VEE is necessary for Associateship

By the way how are you syudying because i will also go for Exam P and MF june 2004

Apocalypse,
Today I received an email from SOA.I had sent them a query that
"Can I receive exemption of VEE Economics on the basis of A levels Economics because the syllabus more or less the same"

They replied me that they havent still finalised the courses through which students can get exemptions. They also asked me to give the web address of the university of Cambridge so that they can check the syllabus.I replied them with the address and I now hope that they exempt me from it .

Now, when do you expect you'll receive the books that you have ordered.

I also plan to hire a teacher for course P, so if you are interested then we can study together.

I live in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi
