Assalam O Alliakum every1,

I am not sure whether i should post my question here or not, however, am taking the liberty of being a new member as such am posting it here hope it won't offend any1.

I recently came back from UK after completing my ACCA and was working for a firm for last five months before that i was working for a TV channel in London. Since, i have moved back to Karachi therefore, am looking for job and was wondering as to how should i search for one cause most of the jobs are not even advertised, thats what i have been told and what i have also witnessed by searching web and reading newspapers, or it may be that no jobs are available at the moment??

Any ideas???

I agree! It is very difficult to look for a job in Pakistan, I am working in Aust and from time to time I keep checking if there is some thing suitable available back home. But as you rightly said it even does not appear in the news paper. I guess you might need to do bit of networking. I would suggest attending professional’s seminars and get-to-gathers. I would check professional bodies (such as CA) website to get more information about such meetings.
Hope you will find some thing soon, best of luck

Networking is the Thing to do, especially in Pakistan. What would be a big help is visiting ACCA's Karachi office, they can let you know about possible opportunties around and have been known to place people.

I know a couple of email groups that usually have members posting accounting jobs of all levels.

PM me your email (if you prefer) and I can have you added to these.
