Hey dude!
In PAKISTAN, ACCA,s have not been granted authority to AUDIT due to higher failure rate/rigid passgin policy of ICAP and its effort to control Accounting and AUDIT profession in Pakistan.

Don't believe Mr one1one. That's a huge claim to make & ofcourse its totally baseless. Nothing like that has happened at all!!!!!

I think that he's the same person who was registered as "Turithegreat" and was later expelled because of his activities which he seems to be repeating again.
What???????????how can you say that ACCA,s have not been granted authority to AUDIT Please open www.accaglobal.com and then click on Pakistan.....From June 2007 and onward an ACCA can grant authority to AUDIT...........and from June 2007 ACCA will also recognised in Pakistan.......A student who did ACCA Part-2....it will be equal to B.com of Punjab University......and A complete ACCA will be equal to M.com of Punjab University......and from June 2007 onwards an ACCA can open an Audit Firm for himself.........Dears these words announced by the Director of Higher Education Commession because in Pakistan there are alot of students are going to ACCA....or doing ACCA.....

We can only laugh on such news.

How can a person conduct audit in a country about whom he does not know the company, tax and other laws?

Kamran.
Salam,

In Ireland, the member of the institute of chartered accountants of ireland has the authority to conduct audits, not ACCA. Acca's course is limited and an ACCA does not fulfill the requirement to conduct the company audit on his/her own name.

rgds,
