Hello forum,

I am little confused and need you guys help.

I am working for this Company in sales department for quite some years whilst studing ACCA, and now am at professional stage with only 2 papers away from becoming affiliate.

During all these years I have never applied to any accountancy firm (dont know why!). Until recently, a friend introduced me to a firm, who interviwed me and offered me a position as Audit trainee.

The problem is - this firm is relatively new (may be 8 to 7 years old), not ACCA approved employer, however has a clientele of 30 clients and staff of more than 40. (could get the info on turnover)

Should I, should I not take up the position with the firm?

Hope to year from you guys soon,

Regards

look if you have got considerable experience (no mattter in sales), trying applying in some company. keep this small time firm as the last resort or why not apply to big firms as well. who knows maybe you are in luck.

Thank you

I did occur to me to pay less attention to small firms. However, I am not sure whether this experience in Sales would help me in get into Audit.

no it will not help you to get into audit. but as far as getting in to a company is concerned, it will be certainly seen as an asset. Where are you working and in wht capacity ?

Dear viewers,

My topic of concern at the moment is that I am currently working in an NGO as a management trainee and am being offered no Accountancy related tasks. My question to you is that, should a continue my current job or seek another one in an Accountancy firm which will offer me some training relevant to accounts. Which option will help in my career development as each year is vital to me. I have passed F1, F2, F3 and F6 of ACCA in the first attempt.
