As v all knows that Senior citizens over 60 years of age are entitled to claim 50 per cent rebate in the payment of tax outstanding against them.
under section 53(1)c and clause 1A of Part-III of the Second Schedule of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.

my question is "where the exempted amount enter in Income tax return of 2010."

Dear olympia,

Mention the same at "tax reduction/credit/average" (row #36), amount should be calculated manually and the same should be shown therein directly.

However, apparently, there would have no disclosure as to why such reduction has been incorporated, but date of birth of a person(whose return is being filled) will be considered while reduction is observed in such cases.

Best Regards,

Faisal.
