Hi everyone.
I just have a question about the ACCA books. I told my dad to get me 2.1,2.2,2.3 & 2.4 paper BPP books and kit from my home country. Inshallah i will be appearing for my papers in Dec 2005 so i told my dad to get the latest editions. The BPP publisher guy told my dad that the books for Dec 2005 exams will be available only by June 2005. May allah forbid, if i dont clear all the papers in Dec 2005 and have to appear in June 2006 then can i study from the same books or again i will have to buy the Dec 2005 edition. Do these books get updated every 6 months.
The reason i am asking i because if its ok to study from an edition printed prior to June 2005 then i commence study now itself. Otherwise i will have to wait for June 2005 to get the latest edition books.
Hoping to hear from someone soon.

Actually these books normally undergo some minor changes. Students mainly have to worry about 2.3, because of the changes in the Financial Acts. But luckily For You this wont be much problem as u will study the same financial Act for June 2005 and Dec 2005 session. So dont worry much.

yes..DESERT STREET is right...
as any new law or ACT is applicable 6 month later and after this period its published in books to be examinable for the coming one year.
there are minor changes in LAW book like last time, they just reduced some articles in HR-ACT..
1.3 and 2.1 remain much same...
1.1&2.5 do change... with a new standard or frs etc...then applicable after 6 minth.....
for 1.2 and 2.4 just but new Rev-kits...
so... be happy with oldies where you can...!!!
cheers..
syedhassan...
