In addition to ACCA, a relevant degree is must. Rest is upto you. Whatever you like and suits you. You would have to find it yourself.

Canadian designation is not must, but a vital part.

Dear

I don't know how many exemptions they would offer you at that time. Please ask them directly. Though I don't think they would tell you at this time, as exemptions would depend upon policy at THAT time when you would apply. So, no one would tell you upfront.

Still, you may try with them directly. I hope it helps.

Just to add, I emailed CGA a month back asking about exemptions fo ACCA affiliates. They replied that exemptions are given to ACCAs however a rough estimate cannot be given.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

I never studied for ACCA so I don't know about the quality of tuition providers. Following links may help you.

hi!
toronto boy is doing a really gr8 job helping evry1!!

i would also feel gr8 if u advice me.
im doing ACCA from pakistan. i passed f1-f8 (all with good marks) in one year, waiting for result of f9-p2, and will hopefully appear for final 3 papers in june11. i currently have no work experiance and will hopefully get b.sc in frm obu in sept11. i have done o and a levels, with exceptionally good results and couple of world distinctions.
in a level, my teachers also used to advice me to apply to us or canada for undergraduate prog as thy wer certain that i could get scholarships. but i really liked the field of audit and had always dreamed of working in big4 and so the best route seemd to be doing acca, thn get exemptions under icap (pakistan) and continue ca along with articleshp frm big4 frm pakistan. but suddenly now icap have halved the exemptions and ca frm pak dznt seems a feasible option now. now im planning to move abroad and try 2 get into big4 there along with some other qualification.

middle east seems a gud option as after becoming acca affiliate, apply to big4 there and do icaew along. bt im not sure if this route is practically alright or not? will the firms in middle east take me sitting in pak?

recently one of my canadian relativ advisd me to come to canada as the immigration is vry easy (he thinks like that). please advise me what are my options to work in big4 in canada, and settle there! can i directly apply 2 big4 after becoming affiliate and getting b.sc degree from obu?
or shud i join an undergraduate programme in an Canadian university and first do bachelors? will i get some courses exempt? i also need a lot of scholarships as i cant afford the unis abroad. it seems that i have wasted 2 years of my lyf in acca!

after this icap sudden change in policy, im really frustrated and dnt want to live in pak anymore! plz help me! it seems like my dreams and planning since childhood has been wasted! =(

I think UK door is closed. You can go to UK under Tier 2 and that is only possible if you have a company sponsoring you. That is almost impossible. Company can simply place an add in newspaper and they will have dozens of people with better, local, experience . Your seven years of experience will be considered 'nil' by almost all the employers.

Ordinary Tier 1 has already been axed. However, its has been replaced by Tier 1 exceptional talent. UKBA also placed cap of 2000 p.a. on Tier 1 exceptional talent. This Cap has already been filled for this year. This category has been reserved for scientist, scientific researchers and surgeons with exceptional skills. So this door is also closed.

As for Citizenship, Its been very hard now. UK Government is now introducing 3 way tests for citizenship. So now its not simply as spending 4-5 years on work permit and you have citizenship or ILR. Spend 14 years in UK (combination of legal plus illegal stay)and you are UK citizen. Spend 11 year (legal stay) and you are citizen. But remember laws are subject to change. Every year laws are becoming more stringent. So one cannot afford to bet on these deals.

Now for easiest routes, Claim political asylum and you are citizen right away. However, you must have genuine reason. Other route is marriage with UK or EEA (European Economic Area) citizen. Though marriage with UK citizen would get you citizenship much before than if you do with EEA citizen. It shouldn't be sham marriage.
