Yes it is possible to get transferred to ACCA after completing CAT 1,2,3,4,6,7 exam or after completing 1,2,3,4,5. U hav to pay 69 pounds for it though. And if u complete CAT then u get exemption of the first 3 papers of ACCA. However, if u dont, then u can get exemption from F2 if u hv passed t7 n u can get exemption from f3 if u hav passed t6.
As far as ur other question is concerned, i think it is better to complete Cat first or atleast study all papers. Bcz Cat provides a profound knowledge of basic accounting n it proves to be of great help wen u study ACCA exams! Hope I was of some helpto u!) Regards.

I absolutely second the above poster's advice to complete CAT first. A part from providing the basic knowledge it will be a gud assessment for yourself as to how well you do in CAT. You can judge whether accounting is for you or not and what are your weak areas which you need to strengthen in ACCA papers. As ACCA is getting tougher and tougher (in my opinion and experience) one should always complete CAT first(if coming through that route). There is no need to rush.
Above is what I think. Hope it helps you. Ultimate decision is in your hands.

Regards.
